Coming Sune says:

Is there a low commission brokerage you would recommend for an active trader? ToS is ok except for the time it takes to place and order, and then the wait for it to actually fill.

Russell John Transfiguracion says:

ayeee super useful video, 2016 coming to an end!

Gary Wagner says:

Hi. How do you close and order that you just bought? You say to do the opposite but I can’t tell if I closed what I bought or I executed another separate transaction and shorted the stock?

How do I get % to show up in the data box? I want to draw a line to see the % move from point A to point B.

Please keep them coming…

MapleAce says:

Hey can anyone here tell me how large I need to make any given transaction
(be it Penny Stocks or otherwise) in order to make a reasonable margin with the
$9.99 commission fee by ToS. I assume that you are charged this fee each time you
buy and sell, so wouldn’t that mean that I need to make my gains exceed
$20 to even get into the green for any given transaction?

bert carri says:

Hi there, I thought I sent you a message, and was telling you that I watched the video about charts, but takes me back to the ad of five tools to find stock. I could stop the picks I get and learn some more. And also feel like trying real trading at TOS. maybe I should get the for awhile and learn more about pics but I also need to learn how to trade on TOS. Thanks

Bart Dekesel says:

Hello good basic explenation!
I was wondering how to sell that same stock if I just bought it like you just showed, or if I could set a buy limit and stop(take profit) at the same time?
So for example on the chart you see 2 prices to slide or change(edit), one buy(green) and one sell(red).
And if I change the order to stop in the order entry window what are the STD, BID, and Mark options?
Could you be so kind to make a video on the subject, I know there is a description in the order rules window but you explained it very good in this video. I think you could help allot of people with such a video.
Thank you

Jim Oliver says:

TD Ameritrade is pathetic..I swear they run their website off a Commodore 64 . Their Tech support does not have a clue.
We had one of their “salesmen” call my wife at work (Pathetic) trying to get her to open a 401K with them.
Also when the market was taking a huge dip..their website went down (way to be there in critical times AMTD) and when I called to inform the tech…he was clueless.
Google Ameritrade sucks….
Wait !! they have gotten even more Pathetic…Scum just like their CEO imho.

MrChubbycheese says:

ciao guys! for example if i buy a stock at 2$, and i want to sell it at 3$ but i want to have my stop at 1$, how do i manage this in TOS??? i don’t know how to place such an order….i want a limit order to sell at a certain price, but i also want a stop order at the same time at a certain price

Bigtexnick says:

Hi Clay, thanks for all of the free information. I have a very specific request. I am new to day trading and having serious difficulty wrapping my head around the market, stop, limit, and stop-limit types of orders. None of the videos I’ve seen help me understand it. Plus, I have yet to see an actual real life example of each type of transaction. Could you make a video like this (with real life scenario, “And right here, we’ll execute a sell stop order for such and such reason….”) or provide one? Thanks.

RiceAsian says:

How long does it take for a stock to buy? When it says being filled, I thought you could just buy one, be approved then sell for profit so does it take a day or 2 to buy or just a couple of minutes ?

Merle Glathar says:

I’ll be taking whatever I want……..

Can I Future trade as a Day trader?

Delroy61 says:

I just opened an account with TD Ameritrade yesterday. First time investing, and I have a question:

I want to purchase 100 shares of a specific company. What is my “buying power”, and how can a “Limit” assist me? I hoping this specific investment will rise $10 dollars in the upcoming months, but I’m not sure how to properly use the “Market/Limit” tabs.

Please and Thank you!!!

Ammar Mazrui says:

Hello Nate, great videos. They helped me learned a lot. I am a complete beginner as a trader. I made a few trades and noticed that there is a buying power effect that comes out when i make a trade. What is the buying power effect? When I sell does it deduct the buying power effect again or credit to my account when i sell?

Anton Zupic says:

When you cancel an order are you still charged the commission fee?

Michael Smith says:

I realize this is paper money but after you made your initial limit order for AAPL and you showed how you can change the order by simply dragging the visual order from the charts menu, were you then charged the commission price again ? Like, each time you were to drag the order is it technically another order that is charged ? THANKS
